Metropolitan & City Police Orphans Fund

Formerly the metropolitan & City Police Orphanage

The annual event is an opportunity for familes, colleagues and friends to pay tribute to fallen officers who were either killed or died on duty.   The wider police family also have the opportunity to support families to remind them their loved ones sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Attendees included Families, Friends, the Home Secretary Sajid Javid, other Politicians, Chief Constables, Police Federation Representatives, Retired Officer Organisations, Religious Leaders and many others.

Peter Smyth our Chief Executive was honoured to attend on behalf of the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund.  He met some of the familes from the Metropolitan Police who had lost family members.

He said 'It was a very moving service attended by many who were able to show their respects.  The service was a credit to the organisers and the venue was very fitting.'
