Metropolitan & City Police Orphans Fund

Formerly the metropolitan & City Police Orphanage

Many of the families that we support were present and Prince William spent time talking to the families, in particular the children. We are very grateful that His Royal Highness could spend time with the families in this way and we know from the feedback that we have received how much his attendance was appreciated.

Founded in 1870, the charity has supported over 15,000 children whose police officer parent has died or is so badly injured they can no longer support their family.

The charity will continue to support families in the future and look forward to the next 150 years.

There are a number of news links showing photographs and film footage of the day which are below.
