Hilda Rose

Hilda Rose, daughter of James Willett who passed away in 1924, lived in the Orphanage from 1930 - 1934. Here she met her husband, Len, and attained the position of Head Girl, House Captain and Guide Leader in her final year. She left with fond memories which she details here.

Frederick Cecil Griffiths

Frederick Cecil Griffiths, Born 8th September 1907, was admitted to the orphanage in 1918. He emigrated to Australia but on the long voyage he developed an absess to his hip joint. He died on 11th January 1923 in the hospital at Castlemain aged 16 years.

Jason's Memories of the Fund
